What's the difference between crop and resize?
Cropping removes parts of the image, changing composition. Resizing keeps the entire image but changes dimensions. Crop when you want to remove unwanted areas; resize when you need different dimensions.
What aspect ratio should I use?
Square (1:1) for Instagram and profile pictures, 16:9 for YouTube and widescreen, 4:3 for traditional photos, and 9:16 for vertical mobile content like Stories.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Cropping simply removes pixels; the remaining pixels retain full quality. However, heavily cropped images may appear pixelated when enlarged if the remaining area is small.
Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?
Yes! Select the freeform option and manually enter your desired width and height. You can also use preset ratios and then resize the output to exact dimensions.
How do I crop multiple images at once?
For batch cropping with the same ratio, use our Batch Processing tool. For different crop areas per image, process them individually for precise control.
Can I undo a crop?
Before downloading, you can reset and start over. After downloading, the crop is permanent in that file. Always keep your original images as backups.
